Fresh Memories

Often imagined as a land of tranquil mountain vistas populated by serene saffron robed Buddhas and grinning ruddy faced nomads, behind Tibet’s rolling hills and rosy cheeks exists oppression and turmoil. Rather than repeating tired romanticisations, Fresh Memories depicts Tibetans who have illegally left Tibet following the 2008 uprising, and the border routes they had to travel through in order to reach exile in India.
